PGA DFS Picks and Core Plays: AT&T Pebble Beach DFS

As the NFL season winds down, golf takes center stage in the DFS landscape. Here we will chose our PGA DFS picks and core plays our AT&T Pebble Beach DFS preview. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the season’s second of eight total elevated events in 2025.

The no-cut format will feature golfers splitting their first two rounds on two iconic golf courses, Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach, before playing their final two rounds on Pebble. The 80 man field featuring the game’s elite will square off for their share of the elevated $20 million purse.

If you’re playing DFS, or placing bets on DraftKings for the first time, you can bet $5 on any golfer this week and instantly receive $200 in site credits. First-time users can take advantage here.

Pebble Beach is one of the shortest courses on TOUR, measuring in at just under 7,000 yards. While the fairways are wider than average, it doesn’t set up as bomb and gouge course due to numerous forced layups off the tee. Pebble also features the smallest greens on TOUR, so accuracy into the greens will be key. The poa annua greens can be tricky here, so good historical putting statistics on this surface will be a nice plus in my book as well. Overall we’ll be looking for elite approach play, good historical poa annua putters, and nice history at Pebble Beach.

Let’s dive into the core players I will be building my lineups around this week on DraftKings.

PGA DFS Picks, Core Plays: AT&T Pebble Beach DFS

PGA DFS Picks; Pebble Beach DFS Picks: Collin Morikawa – $10,200

Coming off a runner up finish at the Sentry Tournament of Champions earlier this month, it’s clear Morikawa is in good form heading into this week. As one of the best pure ball strikers in the world, he’s an excellent fit for the demands of both courses. He’s also shown a preference to poa annua greens in his career, as it is the only surface where he gains strokes on the field on average. In his first go around Pebble Beach last year he finished 14th, I like his chances of being able to improve on that finish this year and crack the top 5.

Sungjae Im – $9,000

After a dreary start to 2024, Sungjae rebounded incredibly well towards the back half of last season and has kept the momentum going into the early part of 2025. Through three starts this season, he has two top 5 finsihes including his 4th place finish at Farmers last week. He now has five top 13 finishes over his last six starts, and is set up well to compete again this week.

As another one of the game’s elite ball strikers, Sungjae suits both of these courses ‘to a tee’. He ranks top 20 in this field in strokes gained tee to green and strokes gained putting, one of only three players in this field that can claim that. I think he’s in a great position to pay off his $9,000 price tag on DraftKings.

PGA DFS Picks; Pebble Beach DFS Picks: Russell Henley – $7,900

I’ve matured quite a bit over the years and have finally given up on betting Henley to win golf tournaments (he never wins). However, when his price dips into the $7k range on DraftKings, he usually presents excellent value which is exactly the case this week. As a shorter, but accurate player who relies on his approach game to compete on TOUR, Pebble Beach is perfect spot for him.

He is very accurate off the tee, hitting north of 70% of his fairways which keeps him out of trouble. He also ranks top 20 in this field in strokes gained on approach, which plays very well to the small greens this week. I’ll be rostering him at a good clip to hunker down the mid range of my rosters.

GPP Flier – Lee Hodges – $6,200

Hodges has quietly been playing some phenomenal golf over the last few months. Over his last 7 starts, he has 4 top 10 finishes including a 9th place finish last week at Farmers. Over the last 24 rounds he ranks top 10 in both strokes gained off the tee and on approach, an impressive feat giving the strength of this field.

In two career starts at Pebble he has struggled to produce results which may be keeping his ownership in check, but he also was not entering those events in the form that he currently is in now. I will be taking some shots on Hodges in large field GPP’s in hopes he can secure another top 10 finish at single digit ownership.
