Starting with a Stack
To kick things off, I’m looking at the Denver Broncos, a team where we know the starters will be active. The stack starts with Bo Nix at quarterback. He’s locked in, and pairing him with Cortland Sutton feels like a natural move. This slate doesn’t lend itself to the typical double or triple stacks we see in other weeks, so we’ll stick to a single stack here with Nix and Sutton and see how the rest of the lineup shapes up.
Anchoring with Bijan Robinson
At running back, Bijan Robinson is the standout spend-up option at $8,500. The Falcons still have playoff hopes if they win and the Buccaneers lose, so we can expect them to go all out. Robinson has consistently proven his value, and on a slate like this, he’s the safest high-priced running back with a guaranteed workload.
Mike Evans is another premium option I want to include. He’s one of the few skill position players above $8,000 who’s guaranteed to see significant snaps this weekend. Adding him alongside Robinson provides a solid floor and ceiling for this lineup.
Finding Value at Defense
For defense, I’m rolling with the Giants. With the Eagles locked into the No. 2 seed, it’s unlikely Nick Sirianni will risk his starters, which could lead to a favorable matchup for the Giants defense. At a low price, this is a spot that allows us to save salary for skill position players.
Adding Mid-Range and Value Plays
Now, let’s move to the mid-range and value plays. Josh Downs disappointed many DFS players as last week’s mega-chalk. This week, he offers a solid bounce-back opportunity at reduced ownership. He’s been a consistent option for the Colts all season, and I’m confident he’ll see a healthy workload.
At $3,800, Chig Okonkwo is a cost-effective tight end option. The Titans have little to play for, but Okonkwo has been involved in the offense and should continue to see targets. Against the Texans, who may rest starters in the second half, Okonkwo could be a sneaky value.
Finalizing the Lineup
For the flex spot, Curtis Samuel is a placeholder value play at $3,100. He projects well and is guaranteed to be on the field, but this spot could change based on late-breaking value. At running back, Rico Dowdle ($5,800) is another budget-friendly option who has been getting consistent touches.
Here’s what the final lineup looks like:
- QB: Bo Nix
- RB: Bijan Robinson
- RB: Rico Dowdle
- WR: Cortland Sutton
- WR: Mike Evans
- WR: Josh Downs
- TE: Chig Okonkwo
- FLEX: Curtis Samuel
- DST: Giants
