Between now and Celtics-Pacers Game 4 tipoff at 8 p.m. ET, Tatum’s points will be discounted from 29.5 to 0.5 — a 98% discount! All Tatum needs to do is drop a single, solitary point. It could come via going 1-for-2 at the free-throw line with two seconds left, for all we care. One ball through the basket from the Celtics leading scorer gets you a winning pick.
For the record, Stokastic’s Pick’Em Pro gave Tatum a 50% chance of exceeding his original points line of 29.5, as he projects for 29.8 points tonight. Discounted to 0.5, well, that’s a layup, so to speak.
Of course, there are a couple of conditions we still need to satisfy in order to submit this pick as part of an entry. For one, the special pick means we can only do a Standard entry (all-or-nothing, no Flex plays). Luckily, Stokastic projects Nesmith for 1.1 steals tonight, so that is favoring the higher than 0.5 play. With that, Nesmith has a 58% chance of getting a steal tonight and our entry also has over a 50% chance of winning 3x our investment!
