Following two exhilarating tournaments that ended in playoff drama, the Tour now heads to TPC Louisiana for a unique team event. The Zurich Classic features 80 two-man teams, playing Four-ball (best ball) on Thursday and Saturday, and Foursomes (alternate shot) on Friday and Sunday. This unique dynamic challenges our DFS and handicapping process, due to team chemistry having a bit more focus as opposed to traditional statistics. Let’s dive into my PGA DFS picks and core plays for the Zurich Classic.
Course Preview
TPC Louisiana is a 7,425-yard par 72 just outside New Orleans, known for its risk-reward layout, water hazards, and over 100 bunkers. The Pete Dye design hosts the Tour’s only team event, where strategy and chemistry play a crucial role.
While favorites have prevailed in four of the last five editions, longshots often make a strong weekend push. With team dynamics and experience taking on added importance, our usual deep stat dive takes a bit of a backseat. Still, recent form in SG: Total, Tee to Green, and Approach, along with Birdie or Better Percentage and SG: Putting, will help guide our selections.
Using the Stokastic PGA Sims Tool, I’ve locked in the top plays for this week. Our hole-by-hole simulations project each golfer’s potential and, combined with PGA DFS projections, allow us to run tens of thousands of lineup builds. This helps us zero in on the best plays — the ones showing up most often in the highest-ROI lineups. The Sims Tool is a big part of my weekly DFS process, and I highly recommend it if you’re looking to level up your lineups.
Let’s dive into the Zurich Classic picks that I’ll be building my lineups around this week on DraftKings.
PGA DFS Picks: Zurich Classic DFS Picks & Core Plays
PGA DFS Picks: Zurich Classic DFS Picks & Core Plays: Wyndham Clark / Taylor Moore – $9,500
Despite being a new duo at the Zurich Classic, the buzz around Clark and Moore is justified. Their games complement each other well, setting them up for a strong showing at TPC Louisiana.
Together, they’ve tallied four top-10 finishes at this event. Clark has three straight top-20s and Moore has finished top-5 in two out of three appearances. Clark ranks 16th on Tour in Birdie or Better Percentage this season and sits 21st in SG: Total, 31st in SG: Tee to Green, and 29th in SG: Putting, among this field during the last 36 rounds. He can also launch it when needed, ranking 12th in Driving Distance this season.
Moore brings more consistency off the tee, combining solid distance with accuracy. He’s 19th in SG: Total in this field and should be an ideal pairing with Clark this weekend.
Nicolas Echavarria / Max Greyserman – $9,000
The unexpected duo of Nicolas Echavarria and Max Greyserman is back for another crack, after a surprise T-4 finish here last year.
Their baseline stats won’t jump off the page, but based on last year’s success and their current form, they’re absolutely a team worth keeping an eye on.
Greyserman has quietly posted a top-32 finish in 7 of 12 starts this season. Echavarria, meanwhile, has shown flashes—finishing T-16 at Valspar, T-32 in Houston, and making the cut at The Masters.
Where they really shine is on the greens: Echavarria ranks 4th in SG: Putting over the last 36 rounds, with Greyserman close behind at 19th among this week’s field. Greyserman also ranks 21st in Birdie or Better Percentage this season, adding some scoring upside to the mix.
Don’t be shocked if they make noise again at TPC Louisiana.
PGA DFS Picks; Zurich Classic DFS Picks & Core Plays: Adam Hadwin / Nick Taylor – $8,600
Next up is the Canadian combo of Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor, who’ve stacked top-10 finishes at the Zurich Classic in each of the past two years.
Taylor enters in better form, already a winner this season at the Sony Open and with five additional finishes of T-33 or better. Hadwin’s been more up and down, missing four cuts in 11 starts, though he did snag a T-9 at the WM Phoenix Open.
Still, I’m not too concerned here. This is the type of event where past chemistry matters, and there’s no better time for Hadwin to find a spark than alongside a trusted partner on a course they’ve played well before.
GPP Flier: Doug Ghim / Chan Kim – $7,800
A familiar face, Doug Ghim, makes his return to this article. Over his last 36 rounds, Ghim ranks 15th in SG: Tee to Green, 18th in SG: Approach, and 23rd in Driving Accuracy among this field. The putter has been his weakness, but that’s where his partner, Chan Kim, can step in.
Kim ranks 28th in SG: Total, 30th in SG: Approach, and 47th in SG: Tee to Green over the same span. He’s also coming in with momentum over his last three outings—finishing T-39 at the Houston Open, T-5 at the Texas Open, and T-7 at Corales Puntacana.
Let’s look for this dark horse duo to make a serious push down in Louisiana.
