PGA DFS Picks: RBC Heritage DFS Picks & Core Plays

DraftKings NBA Promo

Just a couple hours down the road from Augusta, the PGA Tour heads to Hilton Head for this week’s RBC Heritage at Harbour Town. It’s a smaller, no-cut field with plenty of big names sticking around after the Masters. The vibe’s a little more relaxed, but the challenge is real. Let’s dive into my PGA DFS picks and core plays for the RBC Heritage.

Course Preview

Harbour Town is a much different test than Augusta. It’s a shorter, tighter Par 71 that plays just over 7,200 yards and puts a premium on precision over power. The fairways are relatively forgiving, but the greens are among the smallest on Tour — leaving little room for error. Players need to be sharp with their irons and capable of scrambling when they miss.

Most approach shots come from the 125–200 yard range, so Strokes Gained: Approach and Greens in Regulation from that distance will be key. Driving accuracy, SG: Around the Green, scrambling, Par 4 scoring, and overall ball striking also carry weight here. And like many stops on Tour, strong course history at Harbour Town tends to repeat itself.

Using the Stokastic PGA Sims Tool, I’ve locked in the top plays for this week. Our hole-by-hole simulations project each golfer’s potential and, combined with PGA DFS projections, allow us to run tens of thousands of lineup builds. This helps us zero in on the best plays — the ones showing up most often in the highest-ROI lineups. Let’s dive into the RBC Heritage picks that I will be building my lineups around this week on DraftKings.

PGA DFS Picks: RBC Heritage DFS Picks & Core Plays

PGA DFS Picks: RBC Heritage DFS Picks & Core Plays: Collin Morikawa – $10,900

Collin Morikawa is still chasing his first win of the year, but he’s been close. He’s already notched two runner-up finishes, a T-10 at The Players, and a T-14 last week at Augusta.

His track record at Harbour Town is solid, with a 9th-place finish last year and a T-7 in 2021. Aside from a T-64 in his debut back in 2020, he hasn’t finished worse than 31st here.

Harbour Town suits Morikawa’s game perfectly. He ranks 1st on Tour in Driving Accuracy Percentage this season and, over his last 36 rounds among this field, he’s 1st in SG: Approach and 2nd in Total SG. He also ranks 26th or better in Scrambling, Ball Striking, and Par 4 Scoring.

Relatively speaking, Morikawa is coming off an underwhelming performance at The Masters; this tournament provides an excellent rebound opportunity and I’ll be looking to take advantage throughout my DFS entries.

Sepp Straka – $8,800

Speaking of players looking to bounce back — Sepp Straka fits that bill. He’s had a strong season overall, but is coming off a missed cut at The Masters, his second of the year.

Hilton Head could be just the reset he needs. Straka has thrived at Harbour Town, finishing 5th last year and T-3 in 2022, while posting a +0.98 True Strokes Gained mark. Over his last 36 rounds, he ranks 3rd in SG: Approach and 5th in Driving Accuracy among this field. He’s also 4th in Greens in Regulation Percentage from 125–150 yards and 15th in Ball Striking this season.

If he finds that same form we’ve seen in most of his 2024 starts, Straka has the tools to make a serious run at the top of the leaderboard.

PGA DFS Picks; RBC Heritage DFS Picks & Core Plays: Daniel Berger – $8,300

Daniel Berger could end up being a popular play this week — and for good reason. He’s posted three straight Top-20 finishes at Harbour Town (2020–2022) and returns after missing the last two editions due to injury. Since coming back, he’s looked sharp, with seven consecutive Top-30 finishes heading into this week.

Over his last 36 rounds among this field, Berger ranks 4th in Driving Accuracy, 13th in SG: Around the Green, 24th in SG: Approach, and 7th in Total SG. He’s also 11th in Par 4 Scoring and 22nd in Ball Striking this season — a strong skill set for Harbour Town’s demands.

According to Stokastic’s Top Golfers Tool, Berger has a 15.0% optimal rate — tied for the fourth-highest in the field.

GPP Flier: Lucas Glover – $6,900

Our dark horse this week is Lucas Glover — a veteran with the perfect skill set for Harbour Town. Over his last 36 rounds, he ranks 1st in Driving Accuracy among this field, along with 18th in SG: Approach and 27th in SG: Putting. He also sits 7th in Proximity from 125–150 yards, the key scoring range at this course.

Glover brings 70 career rounds of experience at Harbour Town, which adds even more value at his current price. He’s already shown plenty of upside this season, with a pair of T-3 finishes and a T-8. Don’t be surprised if the 45-year-old makes another strong run this week.
