NFL DFS Picks for Week 15: Quarterback

Cash Game Options:

Joe Burrow, Kyler Murray, Justin Herbert

GPP Pick: Drake Maye (NE): $5,600

Similar to Week 14, where there wasn’t a clear-cut cash game quarterback, Week 15 offers much of the same uncertainty. As of this writing, Joe Burrow, Kyler Murray and Justin Herbert look like the three top signal callers to target in cash games. Differentiating between them, however, is difficult, and the split ownership makes a lot of sense. While Burrow, Murray and Herbert also look good in GPPs, Patriots rookie Drake Maye is my favorite quarterback to target in tournaments.

Truth be told, I’ve been high on Maye for a while. Though New England’s skill position players leave a lot to be desired, Maye has been extremely productive since taking over for Jacoby Brissett as the Patriots’ starting quarterback. Maye comes into Week 15 averaging 16.0 DraftKings points per game, but his ability to make big plays with both his arms and legs gives him natural upside that only a few other quarterbacks in the NFL have. While we have yet to see any massive upside games from Maye, he’s in a great spot in Week 15 against a suddenly vulnerable Cardinals’ defense.

Maye is currently the most leveraged quarterback in Stokastic’s Sims. As of this writing, Maye is only projected to be in 5.9% of lineups on DraftKings this Sunday. Considering Maye is currently showing up in 12.0% of the top 300 lineups sorted by ROI, it makes sense why he looks so good from a leverage perspective.

Other NFL DFS GPP quarterback picks: Bo Nix, Tua Tagovailoa, Jameis Winston, Bryce Young

NFL DFS Week 15 Picks: Running Back

Cash & GPP Pick: Chuba Hubbard (CAR): $6,500

Chuba Hubbard is currently the top overall play in Week 15, and he’s a lock in both cash games and tournaments on DraftKings. Running backs against Dallas has been a DFS cheat code this season, and at only $6,500, Hubbard is drastically underpriced on DraftKings for his current role. With the Panthers playing much better football over the second half of the season, Hubbard has an unimpeded path to close out the season in a workhorse role out of the backfield for Carolina, with Jonathan Brooks out for the season with a torn ACL. With Carolina favored for the first time in two years, Hubbard should have the ball in his hands a ton this week, and he’s got the best floor/ceiling combination of any player on the slate.

Considering Hubbard is projected to be by far the highest owned player on DraftKings at 53.9%, he’s the first player to lock into cash game lineups. That 53.9% number still isn’t as high as it should be in tournaments, however, as Hubbard is currently showing up as the most positively leveraged player in Stokastic’s Sims. While these numbers might change slightly as lock approaches, Hubbard is currently showing up in a whopping 98.0% of the top 300 lineups, and there’s clearly a strong case to just locking him in everywhere.

Other NFL DFS Cash Game & GPP running back picks: Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry, Joe Mixon, Jahmyr Gibbs, Chase Brown, James Conner, Rico Dowdle

NFL DFS Picks for Week 15: Wide Receiver

Cash & GPP Pick: Jerry Jeudy (CLE): $6,200

Jameis Winston has completely unlocked Jerry Jeudy, and as a Browns fan I’m totally here for it. After getting traded to Cleveland over the summer, Jeudy struggled to make a big impact for the Browns early on, as Deshaun Watson completely tanked Cleveland’s offense. With Winston behind center, however, Jeudy is suddenly 4th overall in receiving yards in the NFL this season, trailing only Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb. That’s quite a list to be on for the much-maligned Jeudy, and he’s showing every bit of the #1 wide receiver he was projected to be when the Broncos took him with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Simply put, Jeudy is way too cheap on DraftKings at $6,200, and he’s the top receiver play in both cash games and GPPs.

As of this writing, Jeudy is projected to be one of the highest owned wide receivers on DraftKings at 14.4%. In cash games, Jeudy’s $6.2 price tag is cheap for his current production, and considering his projected ownership, it makes sense just to plug him in and move along. It’s a similar story to Hubbard in tournaments, where Stokastic’s Sims are much higher on Jeudy than the field is projected to be. Considering the Browns have really struggled to run the ball, and the Chiefs dominance against the run, it’s well within reason to think head coach Kevin Stefanski is going to have the ball in Winston’s hands for much of Sunday’s game. While that will almost certainly come with some interceptions, Winston has proven more than capable of moving the ball down the field on any defense, and Jeudy has emerged as his clear top target. Jeudy is currently in 31.0% of the top 300 lineups, and he might look even better in GPPs than he does in cash games.

Other NFL cash game wide receiver picks: Ja’Marr Chase, Nico Collins, Tee Higgins, Courtland Sutton, Ladd McConkey, Calvin Ridley, Brian Thomas Jr.

Other NFL DFS GPP wide receiver picks: A.J. Brown, Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans, Malik Nabers, Marvin Harrison Jr., Amari Cooper, Josh Palmer, Kayshon Boutte

NFL DFS Week 15 Picks: Tight End

Cash Game Pick: Trey McBride (ARI): $6,000

Despite recording no receiving touchdowns so far this season, Cardinals’ tight end Trey McBride is still averaging more fantasy points than any other player at his position on Sunday. It’s impressive how solid McBride has been from a fantasy perspective with a goose egg in the touchdown column, and outside of Brock Bowers, McBride has a real solid claim as the second-best tight end in football. Regardless, McBride is currently projected to be by far the highest owned tight end on DraftKings at 20.8%, and it makes sense to just plug him into cash game lineups and move along.

GPP Pick: Hunter Henry (NE): $4,300

While McBride is the clear tight end of choice in cash games, Hunter Henry holds that mantle in GPPs. Though Henry hasn’t been as productive as McBride, he still comes into Week 15 averaging 9.8 DraftKings points per game, and he’s the top New England player to pair with Drake Maye. While we’re not sneaking up on anyone as Henry is projected to be 15.2% owned, Stokastic’s Sims are much higher on him than that.

As of this writing, Henry is showing up in a whopping 40.7% of the top 300 lineups in the Sims, and he’s behind only Chuba Hubbard as the most leveraged skill position player on the slate.
