NFL DFS Picks for Week 14: Quarterback
Cash Game Options:
Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Will Levis
GPP Pick: Aidan O’Connell (LV): $4,800
Unlike a lot of slates where there is a clear top quarterback on the board, Week 14 doesn’t offer that same clarity. Mayfield, Darnold and Levis are garnering the most ownership, but none of them are projected to be so highly owned that I’m looking to get away from them in large field tournaments. That said, there isn’t much separating Mayfield, Darnold and Levis from some other signal callers on the slate, and Aidan O’Connell is falling through the cracks in a pretty big way at $4,800.
Simply put, Tampa Bay is a team we want to target in DFS. Its offense is elite, and its defense seemingly can’t get off the field, resulting in a perfect storm for DFS purposes. Though O’Connell is far from a proven commodity, he acquitted himself nicely a week ago in a near upset of the Chiefs, and there’s plenty of room for error at his $4,800 price tag. As of this writing, O’Connell is projected to be just 7% owned on DraftKings. Stokastic’s Sims would consider that number a mistake, as O’Connell is currently showing up in 13.3 of the top 300 lineups sorted by ROI.

NFL DFS Week 14 Picks: Running Back
Cash & GPP Pick: Alvin Kamara (NO): $8,000
Alvin Kamara is arguably the top overall play in Week 14, and he’s a lock in both cash games and tournaments on DraftKings. Kamara already has the best workload of any running back in the NFL, and with Taysom Hill now lost for the season, he likely will have the ball in his hands even more going forward. Matched up with a Giants defense that has been getting shredded by running backs all season and is now missing star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, Kamara is woefully underpriced on DraftKings at $8,000.
Considering Kamara is projected to be by far the highest owned player on DraftKings at 44.8%, he’s the first player to lock into cash game lineups. That 46.2% number still isn’t as high as it should be in tournaments, however, as Kamara is currently showing up as the most positively leveraged player in Stokastic’s Sims. While these numbers could change slightly as lock approaches, Kamara is currently showing up in a whopping 73.3% of the top 300 lineups, and there’s a strong case to just playing him everywhere.

NFL DFS Picks for Week 14: Wide Receiver
Cash & GPP Pick: Jauan Jennings (SF): $5,200
Truth be told, there isn’t much to like about San Francisco right now. The 49ers’ running game is a mess without Christian McCaffrey, and key contributors from years past like Deebo Samuel look a year older and a step slower. As a result of injuries and other players regressing, Jauan Jennings has emerged as quarterback Brock Purdy’s top target, and he’s not getting nearly the love he deserves on DraftKings.
As of this writing, Jennings is projected to be one of the highest owned wide receivers on DraftKings at 20%. In cash games, Jennings’ $5.2K price tag helps immensely with roster construction, and considering his projected ownership, it makes sense just to plug him in and move along. It’s a similar story in tournaments, where Stokastic’s Sims are much higher on Jennings than the field is projected to be. In a game I like a lot in tournaments, Jennings is currently in 40.3% of the top 300 lineups, and he might look even better in GPP’s than he does in cash games.

NFL DFS Week 14 Picks: Tight End
Cash Game Options:
Brock Bowers OR Trey McBride
GPP Pick: Cade Otton (TB): $4,400
If either Bowers or McBride if your choice at tight end for tournaments, I certainly won’t be the one talking you off of it. Both Bowers and McBride are elite options, and if you can get to one of them without sacrificing other parts of your lineup, by all means. That being said, however, both Bowers and McBride are pretty expensive, while Buccaneers’ tight end Cade Otton is cheap at $4,400 and falling through the cracks on DraftKings.
As of this writing, Otton is projected to be a modest 15.1% owned on DraftKings. Considering Otton is showing up in 37% of the top 300 lineups in the Sims, it’s clear he’s top tight end to target in GPP’s.
