NFL DFS Picks for Week 10: Best Cash & GPP Picks This Week
By the way, I took second place in DraftKings’ Week 9 NFL DFS $555 Milly Maker, winning $115,000! I hand-built three using Stokastic’s tools and choosing another three based on the top-ROI plays from the Sims.
For my seventh lineup — the one that ultimately clinched second place — used a mix of leverage data from Stokastic’s NFL Boom/Bust Tool and the players showing up the most in the top Sims lineups. And boom — a six-figure cash.
NFL DFS Picks for Week 10: Quarterback
Cash Pick: Brock Purdy (SF): $6,500
Rostering quarterbacks against Tampa Bay has been a fantasy goldmine all season, and that trend is likely to continue in Week 10 as Brock Purdy and the 49ers come into town. Despite playing without many of his weapons all season, Purdy still comes into Week 10 averaging 19.6 DraftKings points per game. Purdy has been even better recently, averaging 23.4 DraftKings points over San Francisco’s past three games.
With Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and Jauan Jennings all expected to return, Purdy will finally have his full disposal of weapons, minus Brandon Aiyuk. As of this writing, Purdy is projected to be the highest owned quarterback on the slate, and there’s simply no reason to get away from him in cash games.
GPP Pick: Baker Mayfield (TB): $6,400
Believe it or not, Baker Mayfield is averaging more fantasy points per game then any other quarterback on this week’s slate. That includes the likes of Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts and Jayden Daniels, so it’s not as if there aren’t elite fantasy signal callers on this slate. While much of Mayfield’s early success can be attributed to having both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin as his two top targets, Mayfield continues to be productive even with both of them on the sidelines.
Considering how atrocious Tampa Bay’s secondary is, it’s not surprising that the Buccaneers find themselves in a bunch of high-scoring shootouts. Matched up with Purdy and the 49ers, it would be foolish to expect anything different from their defense this week, and Tampa Bay’s only real shot of winning this game is by scoring a lot of points. Though the field isn’t necessarily buying Mayfield in this spot with only 5.4% of lineups expected to roster him, he’s projected to be optimal 6.08% of the time this slate plays out, and he’s showing up in 13.7% of my top 300 in Stokastic’s Sims.
Other NFL DFS GPP quarterback picks: Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Mac Jones
NFL DFS Picks for Week 10: Running Back
Cash Pick: Alvin Kamara (NO): $8,100
Rinse and repeat from Week 9. After an offseason in which many proclaimed that Alvin Kamara was washed, he’s come back to have one of the best seasons of his career. Even with the Saints continuing to struggle, Kamara remains the lone bright spot in a once high powered offense. Despite not scoring a touchdown last week, Kamara still dropped a casual 30.5 DraftKings points on the Panthers, and while he’s in a tougher spot this week against the Falcons, he’s a cash game lock at $8,100. As an added bonus, Kamara now has seven or more targets in six straight games, a streak that no other running back has had in over five years. If you want to fade Kamara, do it in GPP’s.
GPP Pick: Jonathan Taylor (IND): $7,500
The once consensus top running back in fantasy football, Jonathan Taylor has had an up-and-down past two seasons. While Taylor’s talent has never been a question, injuries and quarterback problems have limited his upside. While Anthony Richardson’s play style didn’t exactly mesh with Taylor’s, newly minted Colts starting quarterback Joe Flacco should provide some calmness for Indianapolis’ offense.
Even with Richardson the Colts’ starting quarterback for much of the season, Taylor’s raw workload still remains among the best in the entire league. Matched up with a Buffalo defense that has struggled against the run for much of the season, Taylor has massive upside in this spot and the field isn’t getting to him at nearly the rate they should be. Taylor is currently projected to be optimal 19.54% of the time this slate plays out on DraftKings but only 16.2% of lineups are expected to roster him. Stokastic’s Sims are even higher on Taylor, as he’s showing up in 24% of my top 300 lineups.
Other NFL DFS Cash Game & GPP running back picks: Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson, Kareem Hunt, Breece Hall, Aaron Jones, James Conner, Austin Ekeler
NFL DFS Picks for Week 10: Wide Receiver
Cash Pick: Josh Downs (IND): $6,200
The cash game lock of the week, Josh Downs is projected to be far and away the highest owned wide receiver on DraftKings this Sunday. Downs has seemingly overtaken Michael Pittman Jr. and the Colts’ top wideout, and with Pittman out this week, expect Flacco to target Downs early and often in a game Indianapolis will likely be trailing.
In four games with Flacco under center this season, Downs has a whopping 27.9% target share, which would be put him just outside the top five of all receivers in the NFL. Despite a tough matchup with the Bills, Downs is too cheap for his new role as Flacco’s clear top option, and he’s an easy cash game building block.
Other NFL cash game wide receiver picks: Justin Jefferson, Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams, Deebo Samuel Jr., Khalil Shakir, Ladd McConkey, DeAndre Hopkins, Adonai Mitchell
GPP Pick: Rakim Jarrett (TB): $3,600
If you had Rakim Jarrett as one of Tampa Bay’s top three receivers heading into Week 10 on your bingo card, go cash your tickets at the window. All kidding aside, the injuries to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and most recently Jalen McMillan has propelled Jarrett into a key role in the Buccaneers’ passing game. Even if McMillan plays on Sunday, Mayfield will be working with a bunch of receivers he has limited experience with. While Jarrett certainly fits that mold, he showed a ton of big play upside in college at Maryland, and considering Mayfield is my quarterback of choice in GPP’s, it only makes sense that Jarrett is high on the list of preferred pass catchers.
Despite Jarrett’s continued involvement in Tampa Bay’s offense, the field is still extremely hesitant to get to him on DraftKings as only 2.7% of lineups are expected to roster him. With an optimal percentage of 7.70%, Jarrett is one of the highest leveraged players on the slate. Stokastic’s Sims are also high on Jarrett, as the speedster is showing up in 10.7% of my top 300 lineups.
Other NFL DFS GPP wide receiver picks: Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Khalil Shakir, DeAndre Hopkins, Jalen Tolbert, Alec Pierce, Trey Palmer, Jonathan Mingo, Ryan Miller

NFL DFS Picks for Week 10: Tight End
Cash & GPP Pick: Cade Otton (TB): $5,500
As a wise man once said – ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’, and that mantra applies to Cade Otton this week. After starting the season with one catch for five yards through Tampa Bay’s first two games, Otton has turned into one of the top five tight ends in all of fantasy football. With both Godwin and Evans out, Otton has double-digit targets and at least 70 receiving yards in three straight games. With three touchdowns during that span, Otton is averaging an obscene 24 DraftKings points per game, and he’s established himself as Baker Mayfield’s clear top option right now.
Though Otton isn’t falling through the cracks with 16.7% of lineups expected to roster him on DraftKings, that number should be much higher as he’s showing up in 34.7% of my top 300 lineups using Stokastic’s Sims.
Other NFL DFS Cash Game & GPP tight end picks: Travis Kelce, Taysom Hill
