FanDuel Milly Maker Winning Lineup: NFL DFS Sims Lineup & Strategy

First we will take a look at the $1 million-winning lineup.

It may seem wild that a lineup featuring an upper-mid-tier receiver with a goose egg and Mac Jones at quarterback would turn someone into a millionaire, but that’s exactly what happened for our friend aaroncosta.

These are the off-the-wall results that the Sims can find for you, and as aaroncosta said, this lineup came straight from the Sims.

It helps when Jones — despite being a lousy real-life quarterback — got a perfectly passable 20.66 fantasy points at minimal ownership. Plus aaroncosta paired him with Brian Thomas Jr. and Brenton Strange for a 64-point stack, and the Sims threw in a Davante Adams run-back for good measure.

That Jets-Jaguars game may have been on crack, but you can’t argue with the fantasy production that it gave our friend. Such a strong game stack mitigated Jaylen Waddle getting hurt and offering nothing.

Now we talk about the chalkier players — aka the running backs. James Conner and Chase Brown were all recommended plays in one Stokastic medium or another heading into Week 15. And they were good chalk, as it turned out, both outperforming their middle-high salaries. Jahmyr Gibbs had decent popularity as well and scored a pair of touchdowns in the other “what the eff even is this game” game of the day.

Then there was the Bengals defense and its turn against the Titans, who happily handed over four picks and a defensive touchdown. When you get 19 points from your defense, you’re fine with a top receiver going AWOL.

So other than Gibbs, there weren’t a lot of super-high-priced players in here — aaroncosta stayed middle to high middle with most skill positions and went cheap at quarterback.

Again, this is what you would call a fringe-outcome lineup that the Sims found for aaroncosta. That is the beauty of them; it simulates the slate thousands of times to find all manner of possibilities and gives you the ones that are most likely to return positively on your investment. A million dollars I would say is about as positive a return as you can find.
