NBA DFS Picks Today: Building Blocks
Donte DiVincenzo: Timberwolves at Wizards
NBA DFS Projections
DraftKings: 29.18 | FanDuel: 28.13
NBA DFS Ownership Projections
DraftKings: 24.6% | FanDuel: 47.3%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $5,400
Donte DiVincenzo has finally righted the ship with his shooting woes, and over his last 13 games, he splashed 46.7% of his long-range shots and a hefty 7.4 of his 10.4 field goal attempts per game came from behind the arc.
This is night-and-day different than his 31.9% success rate on similar volume during his first 25 games with the Timberwolves.
We should not expect a reprisal of his 50-fantasy point effort against Memphis on Saturday, but something in the mid-30s against a woeful Washington defense is readily attainable as upside. Anthony Edwards has also been struggling, with only four forays over the 40-fantasy point plateau in his last 10 games. Presenting this information a different way, he had 49-plus fantasy points in three of his last five games, including two of 60 fantasy points under the DraftKings scoring format. The only concern here is that the Wizards, who are 15-point home dogs, may not keep things remotely close and Edwards could get some in-game rest during the second half.
Rudy Gobert has been such a DFS disappointment over the last two weeks that his salary on DraftKings is just $5,200. Sadly, this is warranted, but a double-double with a couple blocks against the Wizards is a realistic outcome. Jaden McDaniels is a fine discount dandy on DraftKings ($4,200) and FanDuel ($4,800). He should thrive in this game environment for rebounds and defensive stats, plus if the starters are pulled early, he should receive at least be part of a rotation where he gets to look for his own offense.
Naz Reid and Julius Randle are absolutely in play on FanDuel, which has elected to exclude the two 10:30 p.m. ET games tonight. They are tertiary tournament targets on DraftKings unless someone is getting the night off. None of the Washington players are worthy of our attention against a tough defense.

Anthony Davis: Lakers vs. Spurs
NBA DFS Projections
DraftKings: 54.18 | FanDuel: 54.07
NBA DFS Ownership Projections
DraftKings: 17.8% | FanDuel: #N/A
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $10,500 | FanDuel: #N/A
This game is not on the FanDuel slate, so for those playing on the blue site, focus on the Golden State Warriors in Toronto.
The fires in the Los Angeles area have forced the Lakers to postpone two games, so LeBron James and Anthony Davis have had some time to recuperate, with Tuesday being their last appearance.
Davis has been mostly healthy this season, and he is averaging 25.8 points, 11.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.4 “stocks,” giving him ample fantasy upside. In three of his four games against Victor Wembanyama, Davis tallied 50 or more fantasy points three times, just missing the mark in the other tilt. LeBron, on the other hand, reached 50 fantasy points in the four games, which is hilarious since he is nearly twice as old as Wembanyama. The French phenom topped 60 fantasy points in three of his five games against Los Angeles, and he had 46 and 48 fantasy points in the other two games. This is one heck of a late-night hammer on DraftKings, so the savvy gamer should not be counting on “currently winning” displays too early.
Today’s Top Sports Betting Pick
It is never fun going against Jalen Brunson. However, there is value on the under for his 1.5 made 3-pointers prop.
The screenshot of Portfolio EV shows that this wager projects to win 43% of the time. Though with the lofty +155 odds, that leads to a terrific 10.1% expected value when accounting for the +132 “True Odds.”
Sugarhouse, BetRivers and Unibet are currently offering +155, better than the True Odds of +132 and the +125 (or worse) that most other books are offering. DraftKings has pushed the threshold to 2.5 made 3-pointers with -195 odds, which works out to a similar ROI as the +155 trio.
Stokastic’s Advanced NBA Statistical Projections have Brunson projected for 34.4 minutes and 2.14 made 3-pointers. Yes, this wager is going to lose more often than it wins, which is why the +155 payout is crucial. Brunson knocked down five of his 10 3-pointers yesterday against Milwaukee, but did you know he was only 7 of 45 (15.6%) in the 10 preceding games? This wager is likely to go down to the wire, but with the Knicks heavy favorites, perhaps Brunson will not have to carry the entire offense.
