Jaylen Brown is out for a second consecutive game with a hip flexor injury, so Jayson Tatum should be the focal point of the offense. In 60 minutes this season without Brown, Tatum has a 38.3% usage rate and a 29.4% assist rate. When this duo is together, those numbers dip to 31.1% and 7.1% across 151 shared minutes.
This season Atlanta has allowed 117.8 points per 100 possessions, which is the third-worst mark in the league. This is also a back-to-back for the Hawks, who won 126-111 in New Orleans yesterday, as well as the fifth game in the last eight days.
Luke Kornet is also jumping off the page as one of the three most popular plays on DraftKings (55.9%), which makes sense with the tournaments only encompassing the first eight games on the docket. Even with FanDuel going for the full Monty, Kornet is only $4,000, which has him likely to be on nearly one-third of all rosters.
Derrick White is a solid fantasy point-per-dollar option on both of the main DFS sites, while Payton Pritchard looks good on DraftKings. Sam Hauser is another potential discount dandy, though other plays are likely to pop up prior to lock that will supplant him.

Cleveland currently leads the league with a 7-0 record, having played one more game than the Oklahoma City Thunder (6-0). The Cavaliers have not been pressured at all with an average differential of +14.7 points per game, which has led to the starters playing reduced minutes for most of the season.
This was the same analysis that got us onto Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland Saturday when the Cavaliers were in Milwaukee. That ended up being a nip-and-tuck battle, with the Cavs eking out a 114-113 victory. The core Cleveland starters all played north of 32 minutes, and Mitchell led the way with a season-high 30 points.
Mitchell has always matched up well against the Bucks, averaging 31 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.7 assists in the last half dozen meetings. Milwaukee’s bottom-10 defense and top-10 pace should have the Cavaliers posting solid fantasy numbers. For those considering some in-game synergy, Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo are the obvious options. Coach Glenn Rivers has shortened the rotation as his team is now 1-5 on the season and things are starting to look desperate. Lillard bounced back from a dreadful 4-point performance on Halloween with 41 points, and Giannis is posting stats similar to his two MVP seasons.
Today’s Top Sports Betting Pick
Anthony Edwards is a budding superstar and a terrific DFS option. However, we can still look to go against him in the sports wagering world.
Tonight the under on his 6.5 rebounds prop is worthy of our attention. By using Portfolio EV to do the heavy lifting when researching favorable bets, we can quickly spot inefficient lines like this one, and having accounts at multiple sportsbooks allows us to pivot to the best number quickly.
This pits the books against each other, which shows that Fliff has posted a line that is askew from the rest of the major operators.
Odds are constantly shifting and moving, so when you find a good number, pounce on it. That is the beauty and power of Portfolio EV to find the best odds at any point in the day.
Stokastic’s Advanced NBA Statistical Projections have Edwards projected for 35.6 minutes and 5.75 rebounds. That is below the seven rebounds needed for this under to fail, though things are likely to go down to the wire with Edwards playing significant minutes on the season.
Over the last two-plus seasons, spanning 164 games, Edwards has averaged 5.7 rebounds per 36 minutes. He is down a little bit this season at 5.3 per 36 minutes, though that is still a small sample size. Traditionally, Charlotte has been a poor rebounding team, though it is just inside the top 10 through the first two weeks of the season.
