Kevin Durant is out with a left calf strain that could sideline him through Thanksgiving. Prior to the injury, he was averaging 38.8 minutes a game, which was his highest figure since his age-25 season back in 2013.
In addition to the minutes, Durant has vacated 17.9 field goal attempts, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
Devin Booker at least has two other capable ball-handlers with him in Bradley Beal and newcomer Tyus Jones. That will allow him to focus more on scoring since this trio will share the offensive facilitation.
Typically, Booker averages around 1.2 fantasy points per minute when Durant is off the floor. This year, Booker is averaging 23.1 points per game, which is down from around 27.5 points. Booker played a whopping 43.3 minutes in a 127-118 overtime loss on Sunday. He is averaging a career-high 37.3 minutes per game, so there may be matchups when coach Mike Budenholzer decides to sit Booker and Beal at the end of lopsided games.
Beal should be able to produce around a fantasy point per minute without Durant, and Jones should be around 0.9. Beal has been dealing with a sprained elbow, and the oft injured guard also hit knees with DeMar DeRozan on Sunday, which was enough for him to get x-rays that did not show anything overly serious. Jusuf Nurkic missed the second half of Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. Today he is listed as probable, but it is worth monitoring for any changes.
Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton are looking like solid options on FanDuel for some in-game synergy with Booker, Beal and Jones. DraftKings is a little different, as Lauri Markkanen and John Collins are the most intriguing Jazz options.

Two wins through 10 games is just not acceptable, so it seems like Coach Glenn Rivers is on the hot seat, as are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
Of course, it is hard to fire a player, but social media, sports pundits and even the fans are starting to ratchet up the heat.
Currently, Antetokounmpo is leading the league with a career-high 31.6 points per game, and his other numbers are similar to his production posted during his two MVP seasons. Milwaukee has a 115.7 defensive efficiency rating, which is in the bottom third of the NBA and pretty similar to last year. It has been the offensive efficiency falling from 117.6 to 110.6 that has been the issue. Some of this may be alleviated when Khris Middleton returns, but he alone is not going to be able to turn around a negative-7 point differential.
Lillard is in the concussion protocol, so there will be some value options from Milwaukee with Toronto allowing 120.0 points per 100 possessions, which is the worst defensive efficiency rate in the league. Ryan Rollins is likely to be a key beneficiary of extra minutes tonight. Rollins was a second-round selection in the 2022 NBA Draft, ending up with Golden State via a trade from Atlanta. His next stop was in Washington as part of the Jordan Poole trade, though the Wizards waived him in January. Six weeks later, Milwaukee signed the former Toledo Rocket to a two-way contract, which brings us to tonight.
Rollins played mostly in the second half for his first six games this season, though in the last two he actually had first half minutes. It is hard to know exactly what we are getting, but at the minimum salary on DraftKings and $100 off the floor on the blue site, it is worth finding out. Even if he is not starting, he should push for 20 to 24 minutes, which is stellar for his rock-bottom salary.
Taurean Prince and Andre Jackson Jr. can be sprinkled in on DraftKings, with center Brook Lopez looking like a secondary option on both sites. RJ Barrett stands out for the Raptors on FanDuel ($7,600), though he is an afterthought on DraftKings ($8,300). If he is able to suit up, Immanuel Quickley has some tournament appeal for in-game synergy. He has played 26 and 27 minutes after his seven-game absence, so he is inching back to regular minutes.
Keep in mind that Trae Young is out, which means Atlanta is even more short-handed and likely to spawn a couple of discount dandies. Boston is favored by 15.5 against the Hawks, so it would not be a shock to see Jayson Tatum and Al Horford get the night off, which would add even more value options into the mix.
Today’s Top Sports Betting Pick
Joel Embiid is likely to make his season debut tonight, and Paul George is also available. That means only Tyrese Maxey is still injured. In turn, Kyle Lowry is likely to be in the starting lineup as the maestro.
Lowry’s over on 4.5 assists is worthy of our attention.
Using Portfolio EV to handle the heavy lifting in finding favorable bets allows us to quickly identify inefficient odds like these. By maintaining accounts at multiple sportsbooks, we can then move swiftly to secure the best odds available.
This approach effectively pits the sportsbooks against each other, revealing that BetRivers, SugarHouse and Unibet have posted +100 odds that stand above those offered by other major operators.
Odds are constantly shifting, so when you spot something favorable, jump on it. That’s the beauty and power of Portfolio EV — it helps you find the best odds at any time of day.
Stokastic’s Advanced NBA Statistical Projections have Lowry projected for 29.9 minutes and 4.67 assists. That is right in line with this threshold, though still a touch below the five needed for this over to come to fruition. The “True Odds” of -108 show that there is a 3.8% expected ROI with the current +100 odds.
In the two games without Maxey, Lowry started in his stead and averaged 32.5 minutes while dishing five and six assists. He has only 10 field goal attempts, which makes sense as we have all seen the 18-year-veteran re-tailor his game over the last few seasons. Having both George and Embiid on the receiving end of his passes is definitely a good thing.
