NBA DFS Contrarian Picks Today: Wednesday, March 20
NBA DFS High-Priced Contrarian Pick
76ers-Suns: Devin Booker
Stokastic’s Optimality Projection
DraftKings: 8.60%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $9,200
Devin Booker has rarely been in this article this season, but he’s the top contrarian stud on DraftKings tonight at $9,200. With eight games on this evening’s docket, there are multiple spend up options to choose from at pretty much every position. With players like De’Aaron Fox and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander projected to pull a lot of ownership at guard, Booker is falling through the cracks in a big way on DraftKings.
As of this writing, Booker is the second-highest graded leverage play in Stokastic’s tools. While these numbers can fluctuate throughout the day as injury news comes in, Booker is currently projected to be optimal 8.60% of the time this slate plays out on DraftKings. With only 4.20% of lineups expected to roster him, it makes sense why Booker looks so good from a leverage perspective.
NBA DFS Mid-Priced Contrarian Pick
Heat-Cavaliers: Isaac Okoro
Stokastic’s Optimality Projection
DraftKings: 11.60%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $4,800
Rostering Isaac Okoro in the year 2024 is never a fun endeavor. That said, NBA DFS is a projections and pricing game, and Okoro stands out as the clear top contrarian mid-tier play on DraftKings at $4,800. Coming into tonight’s action averaging an unspectacular 19.7 fantasy points per game, Okoro continues to play massive minutes for a Cavs team that needs his defense and three-point shooting. While he’s usually just an afterthought on offense when everyone is healthy, Okoro remains one of the few constants left as the Cavs deal with injuries to Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Max Strus.
Despite numerous signs pointing to value here, Okoro is a forgotten man on DraftKings and grades out extremely well from a leverage perspective. He is projected to be in just 7.40% of lineups but has a 11.60% optimal percentage.
While his floor might be lower than other players in his price range due to his lack of offense, Okoro undoubtedly has upside at this price point and isn’t getting enough love at $4,800.

NBA DFS Low-Priced Contrarian Pick
Kings-Raptors: Jahmi’us Ramsey
Stokastic’s Optimality Projection
DraftKings: 10.00%
DFS Salary
DraftKings: $3,200
Several Raptors are popping in Stokastic’s tools, and Jahmi’us Ramsey leads the way from a leverage standpoint. Although he’s only played in four games this season, Ramsey is getting good minutes right now for a Raptors team that has also been hit hard by the injury bug. Not only will both Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett be out again tonight, but point guard Immanuel Quickley will also join them on the sidelines. As such, a few Raptors are projected to be amongst the highest owned players on the slate. Ramsey, however, is not one of them and he stands out in a big way from a leverage perspective.
Ramsey is projected to be optimal 10.00% of the time this slate plays out on DraftKings, but only 6.00% of lineups are projected to roster him. Plus, his $3,200 salary opens up a lot of options with high- and mid-salary plays.
