Edwards is projected to be in just 10.10% of lineups on DraftKings but has a 17.70% optimal percentage. Averaging 42.7 DraftKings points per game, Edwards is appropriately priced for his median outcome but too cheap for his ceiling. Edwards has slate-breaking upside every time he steps on the floor, and it’s clearly worth getting over the field on him in tournaments.

Going to the other side of the Timberwolves-Bulls game, Chicago guard Ayo Dosunmu is the top mid-tier contrarian play on DraftKings at $5,600. Since Zach LaVine got injured on Jan. 18, Dosunmu has become a staple in the Bulls rotation, and he’s playing the best basketball of his career.
After being a fringe rotation piece for much of the early portion of the season, Dosunmu has logged 39 minutes exactly in three straight games. His production has risen as well, as Dosunmu is putting up 34.03 DraftKings points over those three contests after averaging 18.7 fantasy points per game on the season. Despite the obvious buying signs, the field isn’t getting to Dosunmu at nearly the rate they should be. Dosunmu is currently projected to be optimal 13.70% of the time this slate plays out on DraftKings. With only 6.60% of lineups expected to roster him, it’s easy to see why Dosunmu sits behind only Edwards as the second-highest-graded leverage play on the board.

Whitmore was one of the most tantalizing players in college basketball last season, and his upside has never been in question. And despite playing limited minutes, that upside has been on full display recently, and the field isn’t getting to him at nearly the rate they should be.
Although his minutes come with a decent amount of uncertainty, Whitmore should presumably play more tonight with Fred VanVleet out due to an adductor strain. Matched up with the defenseless Pacers, it’s surprising the field isn’t targeting him more. While these numbers tend to change as more news comes in closer to lock, Whitmore is currently projected to be only 10.30% owned on DraftKings. With an optimal percentage of 16.90%, the masses are missing the boat on Whitmore.
