5 – Jaylen Brown
Position: SG/SF | Salary: $7,800
Projections: 23.5 Points, 5.7 Rebounds, 4.8 Assists, 1.5 Stocks
Brown is looking solid at this price point, as the positional eligibility at shooting guard and small forward makes him an easy fit in various lineup constructions. Plus, he draws a fantastic matchup against a weak Pelicans team. Brown is simply underpriced for this spot, making him one of my favorite plays on the slate.
4 – Aaron Gordon
Position: PF/C | Salary: $4,400
Projections: 13.0 Points, 5.2 Rebounds, 2.6 Assists, 1.0 Stocks
Gordon regained his starting spot in the Nuggets’ last game — not replacing Russell Westbrook, but rather Christian Braun. He played 30 minutes in that game, but I have him projected for 28 tonight, and he still lands as the fourth-best play. At $4,400, he’s at least $1,000 too cheap for a starter of his caliber. Gordon is simply mispriced based on his role. Expect him to be popular and rightfully so.
3 – Cade Cunningham
Position: PG | Salary: $10,100
Projections: 28.6 Points, 6.2 Rebounds, 9.8 Assists, 1.8 Stocks
Paying up for Cunningham is a great option tonight, though there may be even better spend-up options ahead. With Luka Doncic, Dereck Lively, Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell all still out for Dallas, the matchup looks even better. Dante Exum returning doesn’t move the needle much here. Cunningham has been playing at an elite level, and he’s well worth considering, though he lands just outside my top two plays.
2 – Jayson Tatum
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $9,500
Projections: 27.3 Points, 8.3 Rebounds, 5.3 Assists, 1.7 Stocks
Tatum’s salary has dropped below $10,000, which makes him an excellent buy-low target. The positional eligibility at small forward and power forward makes lineup building easier, and the matchup against New Orleans is favorable. Given the lack of value on this slate, his mid-tier price tag makes him a slightly better option than Cunningham tonight.
1 – Giannis Antetokounmpo
Position: PF/C | Salary: $11,500
Projections: 33.0 Points, 11.3 Rebounds, 5.7 Assists, 2.2 Stocks
Antetokounmpo is the clear top play on this slate. His power forward eligibility is crucial, giving him an edge over Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama, who are only eligible at center. When paying up tonight, Giannis is the easiest click in the slate, and he fills up the stat sheet better than anyone else in this player pool.
