5 – Scottie Barnes
Position: PG/SF | Salary: $8,700
Projections: 21.6 Points, 8.0 Rebounds, 6.5 Assists, 2.5 Stocks
Barnes checks all the boxes today in a great spot against Atlanta. It’s a massive pace-up game for Toronto, with Atlanta on the second leg of a back-to-back and playing subpar defense. Barnes typically plays 35 to 37 minutes in competitive games, and with his multi-positional eligibility, he’s a versatile option to plug into your lineups.
4 – R.J. Barrett
Position: SF | Salary: $7,700
Projections: 22.4 Points, 6.1 Rebounds, 5.7 Assists, 1.1 Stocks
I like Barrett for similar reasons but with a more appealing price tag. While Barnes has the edge in overall production, Barrett offers a bit more salary flexibility, making him slightly more appealing depending on your lineup construction. That said, I’m prioritizing both players and plan to go well over the field on each of them.
3 – Dennis Schroder
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $4,800
Projections: 15.1 Points, 2.4 Rebounds, 4.8 Assists, 1.0 Stocks
Now we enter the Golden State Warriors portion of today’s picks, starting with Dennis Schroder. Assuming Stephen Curry sits on this back-to-back (as he usually does), Schroder becomes a fantastic value option. In general, he benefits from Golden State’s depleted roster and a favorable pace-up matchup against Chicago.
2 – Buddy Hield
Position: SG/SF | Salary: $4,500
Projections: 15.7 Points, 3.6 Rebounds, 2.2 Assists, 1.4 Stocks
Hield comes in next with excellent positional flexibility. Without Curry, he sees an uptick in ball-handling opportunities and shot volume, making him another strong value play against a Bulls defense that’s far from intimidating.
1 – Andrew Wiggins
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $6,100
Projections: 20.4 Points, 4.8 Rebounds, 2.4 Assists, 1.7Stocks
Like Schroder and Hield, Wiggins benefits from Golden State’s likely shorthanded rotation, and his multi-positional eligibility makes him easy to fit into your lineups. With Chicago offering little resistance defensively, Wiggins is my top play for tonight’s slate.
