5 – Keegan Murray
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $5,700
Projections: 13.6 Points, 7.3 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, 1.8 Stocks
Murray has been struggling to hit 3’s this season, but I’m not convinced this is a permanent decline. The shot should come back. On a three-game slate, the multi-positional eligibility and his salary make him an appealing option. He’s playing 36 minutes per game, and I’m banking on some positive regression in his shooting to bolster his value.
4 – Jrue Holiday
Position: PG | Salary: $5,000
Projections: 12.6 Points, 4.4 Rebounds, 4.9 Assists, 1.6 Stocks
If Jayson Tatum is ruled out tonight, all the Boston Celtics will get a significant bump in value, including Holiday. Even if Tatum plays, Holiday still looks solid against a beatable Detroit team. Keep an eye on injury news, as it could make Holiday even more appealing as a value play.
Update: Tatum is OUT.
3 – Jakob Poeltl
Position: C | Salary: $7,500
Projections: 17.0 Points, 12.1 Rebounds, 3.0 Assists, 2.6 Stocks
With Scottie Barnes sidelined, Poeltl’s usage has climbed to around 22% in similar situations. He’s playing 34 minutes a night and brings both defensive stats and rebounding upside. The matchup against Bam Adebayo and the Heat is tough but manageable, making Poeltl a strong center option on this slate.
2 – Jayson Tatum
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $9,800
Projections: 26.5 Points, 8.7 Rebounds, 5.9 Assists, 1.7 Stocks
If Tatum plays tonight, he’s the best pay-up option on the slate, and I don’t think it’s particularly close. However, if Tatum sits, I’d likely replace him with Jaylen Brown in this spot. Be sure to check for updates later tonight, as this news will have a massive impact on the slate.
Update: Tatum is OUT.
1 – Trey Murphy
Position: SG/SF | Salary: $6,500
Projections: 20.4 Points, 6.1 Rebounds, 2.7 Assists, 1.8 Stocks
With no Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson, Jose Alvarado or Jordan Hawkins, Murphy takes on an expanded role. He’s incredibly versatile with his positional eligibility, making him a fit in nearly every lineup build. On a three-game slate, his combination of value, playing time and role makes him the easiest name to click today.
