5 – Kevin Durant
Position: PF/C | Salary: $9,300
Projections: 29.0 Points, 6.6 Rebounds, 3.1 Assists, 2.0 Stocks
With no Devin Booker or Grayson Allen, Durant’s usage rate skyrockets. He’s going to have the ball in his hands a lot, and the scoring upside is tremendous. If Durant drops 40 real points tonight, don’t be surprised.
4 – Chris Paul
Position: PG | Salary: $5,800
Projections: 9.7 Points, 4.2 Rebounds, 9.0 Assists, 1.8 Stocks
Paul is benefiting from a more consistent rotation as of late. The matchup against Brooklyn isn’t terrifying, and with teammates like Devin Vassell and Victor Wembanyama creating space, Paul can still pick defenses apart. A double-double with assists is very much in play tonight.
3 – Jonathan Kuminga
Position: PF | Salary: $5,500
Projections: 17.8 Points, 4.7 Rebounds, 2.4 Assists, 1.3 Stocks
With Stephen Curry and Gary Payton II out, plus Draymond Green questionable, Kuminga becomes a key piece for Golden State. The Clippers will throw some solid defenders at him, but Kuminga will have every opportunity to take shots with the Warriors adjusting their offense.
2 –Â Jamal Murray
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $7,400
Projections: 21.5 Points, 4.6 Rebounds, 5.8 Assists, 2.0 Stocks
Murray comes in at No. 2 in a tough but tight matchup against Cleveland. This is a minutes-driven play, and Denver doesn’t want to lose ground in the standings. If Murray continues to log heavy minutes, this price tag won’t hold for long.
1 – Nikola Jokic
Position: C | Salary: $11,800
Projections: 29.4 Points, 11.9 Rebounds, 8.3 Assists, 2.3 Stocks
Jokic is the best per-minute fantasy player — and arguably the best basketball player — on the planet. He is a must-have even in a matchup against Cleveland’s twin towers, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Jokic’s ceiling and raw projection blow everyone else out of the water, and with plenty of value on the slate, fitting him in should be no problem.
