5 – Naji Marshall
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $4,600
Projections: 15.5 Points, 4.7 Rebounds, 2.6 Assists, 1.3 Stocks
Marshall started yesterday for the Mavericks in a surprising lineup configuration. With Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving out again, along with Daniel Gafford, I’m projecting him for at least 28 minutes. Marshall’s price tag hasn’t moved, and his multi-position eligibility makes him even more appealing. Assuming he starts again, he is one of the top value plays on the slate.
4 – Lauri Markkanen
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $7,400
Projections: 23.4 Points, 6.3 Rebounds, 2.2 Assists, 1.3 Stocks
Jordan Clarkson, Keyonte George and John Collins are all out, leaving Markkanen to carry the load in a favorable matchup against the Hawks. Without much competition for shots, he should have the green light all night. If Collin Sexton is his main competition for usage, there’s plenty of room for both to thrive.
3 – Amen Thompson
Position: SG/SF | Salary: $6,600
Projections: 15.1Points, 8.8 Rebounds, 3.2 Assists, 2.9 Stocks
Thompson benefits from a dream matchup against the Wizards. At this point, we all know the Wizards are a defensive mess. Thompson’s 35 projected minutes could climb even higher with Jalen Green questionable, Jabari Smith ruled out and Tari Eason doubtful. Thompson averages a fantasy point per minute, and his positional flexibility makes him incredibly valuable.
2 – Kyle Filipowski
Position: C | Salary: $4,100
Projections: 10.1 Points, 7.8 Rebounds, 2.8 Assists, 1.5 Stocks
The Jazz are back on the board with Filipowski given all the injury questions in what should be a high-paced game. At just $4,100, he offers tremendous value since he is averaging a fantasy point per minute. If you’re looking for a salary-saving option to fit in a high-priced stud like Nikola Jokic or Jayson Tatum, Filipowski is your guy.
1 – Collin Sexton
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $6,000
Projections: 22.1 Points, 3.1 Rebounds, 4.5 Assists, 1.1 Stocks
Again, Sexton is in a phenomenal spot with Utah’s lineup decimated by injuries. If Markkanen sits, Sexton’s usage rate could skyrocket, making him an even better play. This game features the highest total on the slate, and Sexton’s multi-position eligibility adds to his appeal. Whether Markkanen plays or not, Sexton is the clear-cut top value for today’s slate.
