5 – Kevin Durant
Position: PF/C | Salary: $9,100
Projections: 27.5 Points, 6.1 Rebounds, 4.0 Assists, 2.0 Stocks
Durant is projected for 35 minutes as the Suns take on the Atlanta Hawks. The Suns’ new-look starting lineup has worked well for Durant, and this game against Atlanta, potentially missing Trae Young and Bogdan Bogdanovic, feels like a great spot. If Durant can hit his 27.5-point projection and add a little more, he’s a strong play for your lineup.
4 – Anfernee Simons
Position: PG | Salary: $6,800
Projections: 21.3 Points, 3.0 Rebounds, 5.4 Assists, 0.9 Stocks
Simons is in an intriguing spot as Portland takes on a depleted Brooklyn Nets team, and he is projected for 34 minutes tonight. Simons’ real upside comes from his ability to hit 3’s, and against a shorthanded Brooklyn team, this could be one of those games where he lights it up. If Simons can pour in 30 real points, he’ll easily pay off his salary.
3 – Bennedict Mathurin
Position: SG/SF | Salary: $5,800
Projections: 18.9 Points, 5.6 Rebounds, 2.1 Assists, 1.0 Stocks
With Tyrese Haliburton out, Mathurin gets a huge boost. While the matchup against the Cavaliers is tough, the absence of Haliburton opens up increased usage and opportunity. At this price and with this much upside, Mathurin is someone to target heavily tonight.
2 – Giannis Antetokounmpo
Position: PF/C | Salary: $11,500
Projections: 30.7 Points, 11.3 Rebounds, 6.1 Assists, 2.2 Stocks
Giannis is projected for 35 minutes in a matchup against the Sacramento Kings. His projection is massive, and Sacramento’s defense isn’t likely to slow him down. Plus, there’s enough value on today’s slate to comfortably fit him into lineups. If you’re looking for someone to anchor your roster, Giannis is a phenomenal option.
1 – Nikola Jokic
Position: C | Salary: $12,200
Projections: 29.0 Points, 12.3 Rebounds, 9.1 Assists, 2.3 Stocks
Jokic is projected for 36 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks, but regardless, he is essentially a coin flip to record a triple-double on any given night. Today’s matchup makes him even more appealing whether Kyrie Irving suits up for the Mavericks or not. All together, Jokic is the top pay-up option on the slate.
