5 – Jaylen Brown
Position: SG/SF | Salary: $7,600
Projections: 23.3 Points, 5.6 Rebounds, 4.8 Assists, 1.5 Stocks
This is a fantastic matchup against the Bulls, and the Celtics have a few key question marks heading into the day. Jayson Tatum, Sam Hauser and Al Horford are all questionable, which could open up even more opportunity for Brown. The pace is solid, Chicago’s defense is nothing to fear, and the positional flexibility makes him an easy play. Everything about this spot looks good for Brown today.
4 – Moussa Diabate
Position: C | Salary: $3,700
Projections: 7.5 Points, 8.1 Rebounds, 1.3 Assists, 2.0 Stocks
Charlotte is ridiculously shorthanded right now — no Mark Williams, no LaMelo Ball, no Josh Green. They are ultra-thin, and with Nick Richards no longer on the team, Diabate and Taj Gibson will be splitting most of the center minutes. And the Hornets are facing Brooklyn, one of the worst teams in the league. At this price, Diabate is one of the best value plays on the slate. There are only nine active players available for Charlotte tonight, so those minutes have to go somewhere, and Diabate is in a prime spot to take advantage.
3 – Kel’el Ware
Position: C | Salary: $6,200
Projections: 16.4 Points, 9.4 Rebounds, 1.2 Assists, 2.9 Stocks
It’s a tough matchup against Cleveland, but Ware has been getting major minutes. I have him in for 34 minutes tonight, and he’s actually been playing more than Bam Adebayo since stepping into his new role. Ware has been fantastic on a per-minute basis, and his salary has room to rise. Even against a tough Cavaliers frontcourt, he offers plenty of upside at this price.
2 – R.J. Barrett
Position: SF | Salary: $7,800
Projections: 24.5 Points, 6.2 Rebounds, 4.9 Assists, 1.0 Stocks
This one is all about the matchup. The Raptors get to face the Washington Wizards, which is always a dream scenario for DFS purposes. Barrett’s position is valuable, the salary is reasonable, and the usage is never a concern for Barrett, especially with Immanuel Quickley still sidelined. The Wizards create value just by existing — they play fast and don’t defend. That’s exactly what we want to target, making Barrett an elite play today.
1 – Josh Okogie
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $4,300
Projections: 12.8 Points, 5.4 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, 2.4 Stocks
Charlotte is missing so many bodies that Okogie should be locked into a significant role. He’s a multi-position player, and he’s at least $1,000 too cheap for this opportunity, maybe even more. Unless he somehow doesn’t start (which would be shocking), Okogie is going to be one of the highest-owned players on the slate. Even off the bench, he’d still be a strong value, but I expect him to start, play big minutes and be a key piece in winning lineups.
