5 – LeBron James
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $10,000
Projections: 24.5 Points, 7.5 Rebounds, 8.9 Assists, 1.5 Stocks
James is facing off against a Dallas Mavericks team that is dealing with injuries, making this a prime spot for him to shine. To feel comfortable with this play, you’ll want him to hit at least 56 fantasy points, which has a 38% chance of happening today. LeBron is in the optimal lineup 14% of the time, and with Dallas being banged up, he’s a strong option in this matchup.
4 – Stephen Curry
Position: PG | Salary: $8,800
Projections: 27.3 Points, 4.2 Rebounds, 5.3 Assists, 1.3 Stocks
Curry is taking on the Charlotte Hornets in a game that features a unique storyline — his brother will be on the opposing side. The goal for Curry today is 51 fantasy points, and he hits that 35% of the time. With Charlotte being a massive underdog and Golden State playing well, this is a great spot for Curry. He’s optimal 15% of the time, and with the minutes he’s been logging recently, he’s a solid pick tonight.
3 – Buddy Hield
Position: SG/SF | Salary: $4,200
Projections: 13.4 Points, 3.6 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, 1.3 Stocks
Staying in the same game, Hield is at a very affordable $4,200 and is eligible at shooting guard and small forward. You’ll want him to hit at least 29 fantasy points for him to be considered a winning play, which he does 28% of the time. His optimal lineup rate is 21%. Given the low price and his flexibility, Hield fits seamlessly into lineups. Keep in mind, this is a late game, so you can move him around as needed based on the rest of your roster.
2 – Kevin Durant
Position: PF/C | Salary: $8,900
Projections: 28.1 Points, 7.3 Rebounds, 4.6 Assists, 2.2 Stocks
Durant is in a huge pace-up spot against the Memphis Grizzlies. He has been logging big minutes, playing 38 to 40 minutes per game, which puts him in a prime position for a strong outing today. The goal for Durant today is 51 fantasy points, and he hits that mark 44% of the time. With the fast pace of the game, high minutes and favorable price tag, Durant is a solid play for today’s slate.
1 – Desmond Bane
Position: SG | Salary: $7,100
Projections: 19.3 Points, 6.0 Rebounds, 6.9 Assists, 1.5 Stocks
To feel confident about this pick, you’ll want Bane to reach 43 fantasy points, which happens 43% of the time. The Memphis Grizzlies have been playing great basketball, and Bane is logging about 34 minutes per game. With Phoenix’s defense struggling, this is a fantastic spot for Bane. If you can only lock in one player today, he should be at the top of your list.
