5 – Lonzo Ball
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $4,700
Projections: 11.2 Points, 4.2 Rebounds, 3.6 Assists, 2.2 Stocks
Ball is currently listed as questionable, but if he plays, he’s a fantastic value option at $4,700. The matchup against Orlando isn’t ideal, but the Magic have been struggling, making this a decent spot to target. I’ve projected Ball for 28 minutes and 27 fantasy points. He needs to hit 34 fantasy points to meet value at this salary, and he does that 32% of the time. His 38% optimal rate makes him a strong play on this limited slate.
4 – Georges Niang
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $4,100
Projections: 13.4 Points, 4.7 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, 0.8 Stocks
Niang benefits from the best game environment of the day against the Pacers. This matchup features a high pace and a massive total, giving Niang extra opportunities to rack up fantasy points. With small forward and power forward eligibility, Niang brings flexibility to your lineup. I have him projected for 24 fantasy points. The target for him is 31 fantasy points, and given his 24% projection, he’ll need to exceed expectations slightly to get there. However, his price and multi-position eligibility make him a valuable piece on a slate like this.
3 – Dyson Daniels
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $6,800
Projections: 15.5 Points, 6.0 Rebounds, 5.1 Assists, 3.6 Stocks
We’re staying in Atlanta for another top-tier play in Daniels. Like Niang, he benefits from the pace-up matchup against Indiana, but he’s a much better per-minute fantasy producer. With point guard and shooting guard eligibility, Daniels is projected for 34 to 35 minutes, and his stat-stuffing ability makes him a great target with a projected total of 37 fantasy points. He needs 44 fantasy points to hit his goal, and I have him in the optimal lineup 35% of the time. Whether you choose Niang or Daniels — or both — you’re getting exposure to the best DFS game on the slate.
2 – Myles Turner
Position: C | Salary: $6,300
Projections: 18.1 Points, 7.5 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, 2.9 Stocks
We shift over to the Indiana side with Turner, who will play around 32 minutes against Onyeka Okongwu and the Hawks. Turner is center only, but he’s in a great spot at $6,300. I have him projected for 36.5 fantasy points. His target is 42, which he can reach with just a slight bump in production — perhaps an extra block or a couple of additional rebounds. Given the high pace of this game, Turner’s involvement makes him an excellent tournament play at a 41% optimal rate.
1 – Onyeka Okongwu
Position: C | Salary: $6,400
Projections: 16.0 Points, 9.9 Rebounds, 3.0 Assists, 2.1 Stocks
Okongwu has solidified himself as the Hawks’ starting center. With Clint Capela no longer splitting minutes, Okongwu has been seeing 30-plus a night, making him an elite value at just $6,400. His target is 42, and he has an optimal rate of 42%, making him the best center play of the day. His price is going to climb above $7,000 soon, so take advantage of the discount while you can. Unless he gets ruled out, Okongwu will remain one of the best plays on the slate.
