5 – Kevin Durant
Position: PF/C | Salary: $9,400
Projections: 27.6 Points, 6.2 Rebounds, 4.0 Assists, 1.8 Stocks
We’re starting with Durant in a juicy matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets don’t exactly scream “defensive powerhouse,” and with Bradley Beal coming off the bench and the rest of the Suns starters having less usage, Durant’s opportunities have only increased. He’s a premium option on this slate and one of my favorite pay-up plays.
4 – Micah Potter
Position: PF/C | Salary: $3,000
Projections: 7.5 Points, 6.3 Rebounds, 1.5 Assists, 1.3 Stocks
Value plays are the name of the game, and Potter is hard to overlook. He’s power forward/center eligible and projected for 25 minutes tonight against Brooklyn. Even with modest production, Potter’s salary and minutes make him an excellent way to unlock the higher-priced studs. Keep an eye on Utah’s injury report; if Potter starts, he’s a near-lock for value.
3 – Cole Anthony
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $5,700
Projections: 17.0 Points, 4.9 Rebounds, 5.0 Assists, 1.4 Stocks
Anthony checks in as one of the most popular plays on the slate, and for good reason. While the matchup isn’t ideal — low pace and a low total — Anthony’s minutes have stabilized around 30, and he’s efficient enough to deliver value. If you’re building cash lineups, Anthony is a top priority today.
2 – Isaiah Collier
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $4,000
Projections: 8.9 Points, 3.5 Rebounds, 6.4 Assists, 1.6 Stocks
We head back to Utah for another value play, assuming Collier starts and plays around 29 minutes. With Utah missing key players like Keyonte George, Jordan Clarkson and John Collins, Collier should see plenty of opportunity. Whether you’re looking to unlock studs like Durant or my top play, Collier is an essential piece for roster construction tonight.
1 – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Position: PG | Salary: $10,700
Projections: 33.3 Points, 5.2 Rebounds, 6.0 Assists, 2.8 Stocks
Gilgeous-Alexander faces the Washington Wizards, the undisputed worst team in basketball. The matchup couldn’t be better, and even if this game turns into a blowout, Gilgeous-Alexander has shown he can do enough damage in three quarters. There’s no Nikola Jokic or Giannis Antetokounmpo on this slate, which makes Gilgeous-Alexander the premium pay-up option without question.
