5 – Andre Drummond
Position: C | Salary: $4,900
Projections: 10.3 Points, 10.8 Rebounds, 1.1 Assists, 2.1 Stocks
Let’s be clear — this one is up in the air. Drummond is questionable today, but if he plays, he projects for 24 minutes. Drummond went for 27 minutes in his last outing when several players were sidelined. He’s especially an intriguing value option Paul George and Guerschon Yabusele are out. Keep an eye on his status as the day progresses.
4 – Nikola Jokic
Position: C | Salary: $12,000
Projections: 28.1 Points, 11.5 Rebounds, 8.5 Assists, 2.0 Stocks
Jokic is the cornerstone of Denver’s offense and defense. No matter who he faces — whether it’s Drummond, Yabusele or Adem Bona — Jokic is in an incredible spot. This matchup against Philadelphia gives him a massive advantage, and the lack of resistance on the other side makes him an easy choice for any lineup. If you’re into betting, consider taking his assists over today because he’ll likely be dishing to open teammates all game long.
3 – Scottie Barnes
Position: PG/SF | Salary: $8,500
Projections: 20.5 Points, 7.8 Rebounds, 6.2 Assists, 2.3 Stocks
This Raptors-Magic matchup is the only game on the slate with a spread under 10 points, meaning Barnes could see upwards of 37 to 38 minutes in a close contest. With his positional flexibility at point guard and small forward, he’s an outstanding GPP option and a way to differentiate your lineup.
2 – Anthony Davis
Position: C | Salary: $10,300
Projections: 27.3 Points, 11.9 Rebounds, 3.4 Assists, 3.3 Stocks
As always, Davis is questionable. If he plays, he gets a fantastic matchup against the Washington Wizards, the worst team in basketball. Davis could absolutely dominate in this spot with 15-plus rebounds and 30-plus points within reach. If he ends up sitting, pivot to Jaxson Hayes, who will become one of the best value plays of the day. However, if Davis is active, his price tag and upside make him even more appealing than Jokic.
1 – LeBron James
Position: PF | Salary: $9,800
Projections: 24.6 Points, 7.3 Rebounds, 8.3 Assists, 1.7 Stocks
Even at 40 years old, LeBron remains at the top of the mountain. He benefits from a great matchup against the Wizards, a massive pace-up spot against one of the league’s worst defenses. If Davis is out, LeBron’s role and production will only increase, but even with Davis in, James is still my favorite play.
