5 – Josh Hart
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $7,700
Projections: 14.3 Points, 10.6 Rebounds, 6.1 Assists, 1.8 Stocks
We don’t even know for sure if Hart is playing tonight, as he’s been questionable recently, but with O.G. Anunoby likely out, Hart’s role becomes even more appealing. He’s a stat sheet stuffer who contributes in every category, and his versatility and ability to rack up fantasy points in multiple ways make him a great option, especially against a struggling Toronto Raptors squad. Plus, if he’s on the floor, he will likely push 40 minutes, which is always a plus in DFS.
4 – Deandre Ayton
Position: C | Salary: $6,500
Projections: 15.8 Points, 11.3 Rebounds, 2.1 Assists, 1.9 Stocks
Ayton just played a massive workload yesterday and grabbed 20 rebounds. He’s facing a Pacers team that may be without Myles Turner, which only improves his outlook. The matchup could be even better if he ends up going against Thomas Bryant instead of Turner. Portland is playing solid basketball right now, and this is a spot where Ayton’s price tag offers significant value. The only concern is whether Ayton actually plays on the second leg of a back-to-back.
3 – Bam Adebayo
Position: PF/C | Salary: $7,900
Projections: 18.0 Points, 10.0 Rebounds, 5.1 Assists, 2.1 Stocks
The key here is Adebayo’s power forward eligibility. Without Jimmy Butler in the lineup, this is a different Miami Heat team, and they’ll need Adebayo to step up against the Bulls. This is a fast-paced matchup against a bad defensive team that just lost Zach LaVine. Adebayo’s ability to slide into the power forward spot instead of just center is a major advantage in lineup construction. If he were only available at center, he wouldn’t have made the list, but with power forward eligibility, he becomes a priority play.
2 – Jayson Tatum
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $9,800
Projections: 26.8 Points, 8.2 Rebounds, 6.0 Assists, 1.6 Stocks
Tatum gets a matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While Cleveland has a reputation as a tough defensive team, this game should be a high-powered offensive showdown between the league’s No. 1 and No. 3 offenses. The slate is missing top-tier superstars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokic, which means Tatum becomes one of the most appealing spend-ups. Given his positional flexibility and the likelihood of playing extended minutes, he’s an excellent choice tonight.
1 – Jalen Brunson
Position: PG | Salary: $8,400
Projections: 27.1 Points, 3.1 Rebounds, 7.5 Assists, 1.1 Stocks
Brunson played 36 minutes last night and put up the second-highest fantasy score of the slate, and he’s in another great spot tonight against the Raptors. With Anunoby expected to sit, Brunson’s path to success becomes even clearer. His salary doesn’t reflect Brunson’s true ceiling, making him the most optimal play on the board. If you’re looking for a spend-up option, he’s the first guy you should click on, and he pairs well with Tatum in lineups. With plenty of value available, getting to Brunson today should be an easy decision.
