DraftKings NBA DFS Picks Today, March 13
5 – Austin Reaves
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $7,500
Projections: 22.4 Points, 4.3 Rebounds, 6.6 Assists, 1.6 Stocks
Reaves is in a fantastic spot with LeBron James sidelined. Without LeBron on the floor, Reaves gets a significant rate bump, and his price tag hasn’t fully adjusted to reflect that. He’s expected to play 35-plus minutes and is projected for 41 fantasy points, making him a priority at his current salary. His ability to contribute across multiple categories keeps his floor solid, while his ceiling sits around 48 fantasy points. If Luka Doncic ends up missing this game as well, Reaves’ matchup against Milwaukee could look even more appealing, with defensive attention spread elsewhere. His point guard and shooting guard eligibility makes him even easier to fit into lineups, so keep an eye on the Doncic news, but either way, Reaves is one of the strongest plays on the slate.
4 – Cole Anthony
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $4,900
Projections: 13.8 Points, 4.8 Rebounds, 4.0 Assists, 1.8 Stocks
While he can be volatile, Anthony has major upside in his matchup against the Pelicans. His playing time fluctuates between 24 and 31 minutes, which makes him a bit tricky to project, but even in lower minutes, he is a strong value option at his price. Right now, I have him projected for 28 minutes, and he’s still a great play. If he ends up on the higher end of that range, he becomes an even better value. The 40% optimal lineup rate shows just how valuable he can be today, so while his minutes could be a bit unpredictable, the price tag makes it worth the risk.
3 – Tre Jones
Position: PG | Salary: $5,000
Projections: 11.4 Points, 4.2 Rebounds, 7.3 Assists, 1.6 Stocks
Jones benefits from a depleted Chicago Bulls backcourt. With Lonzo Ball, Josh Giddey and Ayo Dosunmu all likely out, Jones is in line for a major minutes bump, and his ball-handling responsibilities will increase significantly. Without those key guards, the Bulls are running out of players to initiate offense, leaving Jones and Coby White as the main options. With more opportunities for assists and playmaking, Jones projects for 30 fantasy points, but his ceiling could be higher depending on how the rotation shakes out. If Ball and Giddey remain sidelined for an extended period, we’ll likely see Jones’ price climb closer to $6,000, making this the perfect time to take advantage of his value.
2 – D’Angelo Russell
Position: PG | Salary: $5,100
Projections: 14.8 Points, 3.0 Rebounds, 5.8 Assists, 1.6 Stocks
Russell might not always be the most consistent DFS option, but today the matchup is too good to ignore. The Brooklyn Nets are in a huge pace-up spot against the Bulls, creating extra possessions and scoring opportunities. Russell is projected for 30.5 fantasy points, with a ceiling of 36-plus, and while there’s always a slight risk of minutes limitations, he should see at least 27 minutes in this one. The extra pace and weak Chicago defense give him a strong chance to rack up scoring and assist numbers, making him an ideal mid-tier option. If he plays over 30 minutes, he could absolutely smash his salary, and at his current price, there’s not much downside.
1 – Kevin Huerter
Position: SG/SF | Salary: $4,300
Projections: 13.6 Points, 4.2 Rebounds, 2.9 Assists, 1.2 Stocks
Huerter is simply too cheap for his role tonight. Priced at $4,300, he is expected to play over 30 minutes in a game where the Bulls are down multiple key guards. His shooting guard and small forward eligibility makes him an easy fit into any lineup, and his ability to score, rebound and contribute defensively gives him an excellent floor. Huerter is projected for 27 fantasy points, but his real upside sits around 3.
