5 – Amen Thompson
Position: PG/SF | Salary: $8,000
Projections: 16.5 Points, 9.7 Rebounds, 3.7 Assists, 3.0 Stocks
Coming off a game-winner against the Celtics, Thompson is projected for 38 minutes tonight. He’s been filling up the stat sheet, doing a bit of everything except shooting 3’s. This is a pace-up spot against the Hawks, and I really like his role and the matchup. At $8,000, he’s an absolute steal for what he’s providing.
4 – Kelly Oubre Jr.
Position: SG | Salary: $6,200
Projections: 16.6 Points, 6.3 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists, 2.0 Stocks
Oubre is stepping up for the 76ers in a major way with no Joel Embiid and no Paul George. Oubre is playing 36 minutes a night, and with a shorthanded team, he’s taking on more responsibility. The Lakers defense isn’t great, and Oubre’s workload should remain high tonight. He’s a great value on this four-game slate.
3 – Giannis Antetokounmpo
Position: PF/C | Salary: $11,700
Projections: 31.9 Points, 10.8 Rebounds, 5.5 Assists, 2.0 Stocks
Even with the back-to-back, Giannis is the best pay-up option of the day, especially with Portland being one of the worst teams in the league. If you can afford him, he should be in your lineup tonight.
2 – Anfernee Simons
Position: PG/SG | Salary: $6,100
Projections: 20.3 Points, 2.8 Rebounds, 4.8 Assists, 0.9 Stocks
I really like the way Simons fits in Portland’s new-look rotation with Shaedon Sharpe and Scoot Henderson coming off the bench. Plus, if Deandre Ayton is out, it’s more offensive opportunity for Simons. He’s a solid play with great upside in a fast-paced matchup.
1 – Ricky Council IV
Position: SF/PF | Salary: $4,300
Projections: 15.1 Points, 4.5 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists, 1.1 Stocks
With a role that has him starting for the shorthanded 76ers, Council is only $4,300 and projected for 30 minutes. He’s extremely underpriced for his role, making him the top value play today. Even if you dial his minutes back to 26, he’d still be one of the most popular plays of the day. He’s a lock in my lineups tonight.
