Here we go again with my DraftKings NBA DFS picks for Monday, Jan. 20. Quick shoutout to our NFL side — we’re crushing it there with another Milly Maker winner last night. That makes at least four Milly winners this season. On the NBA side, we don’t have as many Milly contests, but there are still plenty of $100,000 contests up for grabs. Let’s see if we can help you land one of those today, starting with my top 5 plays using Stokastic’s NBA DFS Sims, NBA DFS projections and NBA DFS ownership projections.

5 – Anthony Edwards
Position: SG | Salary: $9,100
Projections: 27.4 Points, 6.1 Rebounds, 5.0 Assists, 2.0 Stocks
Edwards benefits from a massive pace-up spot as Minnesota takes on Memphis. While the Grizzlies have a strong defense, the Timberwolves gain four extra possessions in pace, which makes this a prime opportunity. At $9,100, Edwards is a fantastic option on a slate where Minnesota is already projected to be the second-most-owned team.
4 – Naz Reid
Position: PF/C | Salary: $5,000
Projections: 14.6 Points, 5.7 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists, 1.7 Stocks
Projected for 26 minutes, Reid is a high-value per-minute producer with a clear path to additional minutes. His flexibility with power forward and center eligibility makes him easy to fit into your lineups.
3 – Karl-Anthony Towns
Position: C | Salary: $9,700
Projections: 24.9 Points, 14.4 Rebounds, 3.3 Assists, 1.8 Stocks
Towns, a former Timberwolf, is questionable for today’s game, but if he plays, he thrives in fast-paced matchups like this one against the Hawks. If he’s active, he’s the top high-priced center option on the slate.
2 – Jaden McDaniels
Position: SF | Salary: $4,500
Projections: 12.5 Points, 5.3 Rebounds, 1.9 Assists, 2.2 Stocks
McDaniels’ price tag and increased role make him an excellent value play, especially in this pace-up spot. He’ll likely spend significant time defending Memphis’ top players like Ja Morant, Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr., which could boost his stocks upside.
1 – Rudy Gobert
Position: C | Salary: $5,400
Projections: 11.0 Points, 11.1 Rebounds, 1.9 Assists, 2.3 Stocks
Gobert is a steal, projected for 32 minutes, and though he’s questionable, his size and experience make him a perfect counter to rookie Zach Edey. Gobert’s ability to dominate the glass and contribute defensively solidifies him as the top ConTENder on today’s slate.
