The NBA trade deadline has shaken things up, leaving us with a DFS slate full of value and opportunity. With several teams missing key players and rotations still adjusting, it’s a perfect time to take advantage of the best DraftKings NBA DFS picks for Friday, Feb. 7, leaning on Stokastic’s NBA DFS Sims, NBA DFS projections and NBA DFS ownership projections.
DraftKings NBA DFS Picks Today, February 7
5 – Damian Lillard
Position: PG | Salary: $8,700
Projections: 27.0 Points, 4.3 Rebounds, 7.3 Assists, 1.4 Stocks
Lillard comes in with a favorable matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta is playing shorthanded after trading away multiple players at the deadline, and its replacements aren’t ready to suit up yet. Even better, Giannis Antetokounmpo is questionable. If he sits, Lillard’s usage will skyrocket, making him an even stronger play. But even if Giannis plays, Lillard remains one of the best options at this price point.
4 – Giannis Antetokounmpo
Position: PF/C | Salary: $11,800
Projections: 31.6 Points, 11.8 Rebounds, 6.1 Assists, 2.1 Stocks
Speaking of Giannis, he’s expected to play 35 minutes in the same elite matchup against Atlanta. The Hawks are extremely short on NBA-caliber bodies with Bogdan Bogdanovic, De’Andre Hunter and Clint Capela all out. That leaves Giannis with a free path to the rim, plenty of rebounding opportunities and a ceiling that’s tough to match on this slate.
3 – Richaun Holmes
Position: C | Salary: $3,500
Projections: 10.1 Points, 8.1 Rebounds, 1.6 Assists, 1.7 Stocks
Holmes is set to start at center for the Wizards, making him a fantastic value at just $3,500. Washington is incredibly thin in the frontcourt after trading Jonas Valanciunas and missing Alexandre Sarr. If Holmes gets the start, he’s a near lock for value. However, if Tristan Vukcevic starts instead, simply pivot to him at the same position. Either way, the Wizards center rotation is a great place to find value tonight.
2 – Trae Young
Position: PG | Salary: $4,200
Projections: 26.7 Points, 3.1 Rebounds, 11.5 Assists, 1.5 Stocks
Young is set for a massive workload against the Bucks. With Atlanta losing key pieces in Bogdanovic, Hunter and Jalen Johnson, there’s nobody left to take shots besides Young. His usage could climb to 38% or higher tonight, and no one would be surprised. There simply aren’t many offensive options left in Atlanta’s rotation, meaning Young will be handling everything. If you’re looking for a high-upside guard with volume, he’s your guy.
1 – Jonathan Mogbo
Position: PF/C | Salary: $3,100
Projections: 8.3 Points, 6.4 Rebounds, 2.1 Assists, 1.6 Stocks
Mogbo takes the top spot today, assuming he starts for the Raptors. Toronto is extremely shorthanded, losing Jakob Poeltl, R.J. Barrett, Bruce Brown and Davion Mitchell. That leaves plenty of minutes and opportunity for Mogbo, making him the best value on the slate. If Mogbo doesn’t start and Toronto rolls with Orlando Robinson instead, simply pivot to Robinson as the better value play.
