Clarke Schmidt | MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick Today
As was the case with Marcus Stroman yesterday, we will continue targeting Seattle with right-handed pitchers until it is no longer worth our time. It’s still worth it with Schmidt, who has been dominant recently, tossing 14.2 scoreless innings and recording 14 strikeouts, two wins and two quality starts over his last two outings.
Although he hasn’t been as sharp at home this season, Schmidt still has posted a 27% strikeout rate and a 3.43 xFIP at Yankee Stadium. Plus, no team strikes out more against right-handed pitchers than the Mariners. They are also in the bottom half of the league in wRC+, wOBA and ISO this season, and the Yankees are -166 moneyline favorites after blowing a 4-1 lead last night.

Andrew Vaughn | MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick Today
Yusei Kikuchi has a career-best 2.74 xERA and .267 xWOBA allowed through his first nine starts in 2024, indicating that his success is not due to luck but actually just being really good.
Meanwhile, Vaughn is hitting below the Mendoza line and has a dismal .105 ISO for the season — he hasn’t been much better against left-handed pitchers. I wouldn’t be surprised if Underdog pulls this play off the board, especially when it is grading so well in Stokastic’s Pick’em Pro.
If Underdog does take it down, it makes sense to instead turn to Kikuchi higher than 30.5 fantasy points at home, where he has been dominant and is a -189 moneyline favorite tonight against the White Sox.
